Vadodara : District Collector instructed to start and manage all APMCs of the district from Thursday

District Collector Shalini Agrawal gave directions to start all the Agricultural Produce Market Committees of the district from Thursday 16th April to facilitate the farmers. She also inform the District Registrar of Co-operative Societies and the District Agriculture Officer of the cooperatives to ensure smooth operation of this APMC.

The District Registrar will have to monitor the logistics and manpower required during the operation of the Market Committees while maintaining the Social Distance in vieew of the Corona Crisis and Lock Down. While the District Agriculture Officer shall monitor the maximum online registration of the farmers.

It is noteworthy that out of the 8 APMCs of Vadodara district Karjan, Waghodia, Desar and Savli deals in the activities of purchase and sale of grains castor and others. Trade of vegetables is carried on in Padra and Vadodara with the remaining two Dabhoi Shinor and Saghli deals in purchasing.
