Urging all the officers and employees to be present at the headquarters

Vadodara District Collector Shalini Agarwal reviewed the rainy weather situation in the entire district through a video conference with all the provincial officials and Mamlatdars of the talukas. She also get information about the inflow of water into rivers, lakes and ditches during the meeting.

She especially urged the presence of Talati as important in every village and give instructions to the officers and staff for not to leave the headquarters. She asked all the control rooms at the taluka level to continue and officials to cross-check. In addition, instructions were also given on matters including availability of medicines in health centers.

Keeping in view the situation of Covid 19, the talukas have been given the quantity of PPE kit, pulse auximeter, mask, sanitizer, disinfection material, and the Collector issued instructions to check them.

In addition she gives instructions about the designated shelters to be equipped with cleanliness, to carry out the operation safely if the affected people need to be evacuated following the precautionary measures taken during Covid 19 and making proper use of the provided equipment.

She directed the authorities to be especially vigilant in the villages along the rivers like Dev, Vishwamitri, Dhadhar and Narmada in the district and to visit and inspect there. The Collector asked to pay attention to the lakes and drains of the district and laid special emphasis on health precautions.

District Development Officer Kiran Zaveri also give guidance in the meeting. Resident Additional Collector, Chief District Health Officer, Irrigation Department officials, various committees formed for disaster management research as well as nodal officers appointed for each taluka were present in the conference.
