Vadodara District Collector celebrate Vat Savitri and World Environment Day

Celebrated World Environment Day by planting a tree in the premises of the Collectorate office

District Collector Shalini Agarwal celebrate Vat Savitri and World Environment Day by planted saplings in the premises of the Collectorate. The plantation is done under the facility of new type of self-watering tree guard. Additional Resident Collector DR Patel and I.A.S. Probationer Anandu also joined the celebration and planted a sesame sapling.

She urged everyone to protect and nurture the environment to protect themselves from natural calamities like floods, heavy rains, raining and to contribute in protecting the environment by planting and protect as many trees as possible.

She said that everyone should be a protector of nature like Corona Warrior and make sure not to harm the environment in day to day life and work. She congratulated the young entrepreneur Ritwij Purohit for developing a tree guard cage that protects the planted plants and maintains soil moisture for 15 days and said that proper application of such technology in efforts to save nature would yield good results.
