Vadodara District Collector Shalini Agarwal along with district Police Chief Sudhir Desai visited Padra town and reviewed the health situation in the area. They inspected the work done by district panchayat health department in providing intensive health services in Padra. They get details specially about the health services in containment zones and discussed about the ways to intensify it more. They inquired with the people of the area about the examination being done with medical devices including pulse oximeters.

It is to be mentioned that one Sanjivani vehicle is engaged in screening of vegetable and fruit vendors, food sellers fell in the category of super spreaders.

The District Collector said, a private hospital in Padra has been designated for treatment of Covid patients at the local level. She visited the hospital and talked to the doctors about the treatment. In addition,as per her suggestion another private hospital in the Padra was declared designated for Corona treatment.

District Collector also instructed to start Covid Care Center in 4 days in the complex of training center behind Padra Community Health Center. In addition she also guide to start work of one more Covid Care Center in the new building of Kanjat Primary Health Center.

She asked the District Ayurveda Officer to make arrangements to make immunity enhancing liquid drinks and organise distribution in the areas under the containment zone.

The District Collector said, in order to access the health services more accessible in the areas including the containment zones, arrangements have been made to provide health services to the people close to their home as much possible through 5 Health Sanjivani mobile clinics. She gave guidelines to see the work being done by these vehicles.

These mobile health clinics is equipped with medical equipments like BP gauge, pulse oximeter, glucometer, thermal gun and necessary medicines. The health teams visited door to door and provide health services to people through these mobile clinics. In addition as a precautionary measure it is planned to administer hydroxy chloroquine to people falls in the Super Spreader category.

The police have been instructed to strictly enforce the rules of wearing masks and maintain social distancing in the town. The traders are also requested to be vigilant and sell only by following the prescribed rules of social distance. The municipality has also been asked to be vigilant to abide by the rules.

Chief District Health Officer Dr. Uday Tilawat said, at present more than 20 health teams are conducting survey and health services in Padra. Through them, about 5,000 packets of Ayurvedic liquid medicine packets are also being delivered to the affected areas.

Apart from this, the Ayurveda branch of the district panchayat is preparing Ayurvedic liquid and give it to the people. Thus, health care is being carried out in an integrated manner by the police, health system, administration and the municipality.
