Working on 3/3 strategy extended up to three stages to fight COVID 19

After dividing the Vadodara city into four zones under
important strategies of zoning, screening and sampling, the district
administration is now working on Microplanning for early detection and
treatment. The 3/3 strategy is extended up to three stages and the
administration is working closely on each stage to fight COVID 19.



After the steep rise of Corona positive cases in Vadodara the
district administration plans a proactive strategy to tame the virus before its
attack. The city is divided into four zones under important strategies of
zoning, screening and sampling. The zones are keep as dynamic as some areas
might changes to other zones after daily assessment by the teams.



Now the administration is working on microplanning of the
city which is a three tier system extends upto three stages. The first tier is
COVID Care Centre (CCC) followed by COVID Health Center in second tier and
Dedicated COVID hospital in the third. The administration is working on the
first phase of all and extensively planning for the remaining stages.



Giving details OSD Dr. Vinod Rao said, Covid Care Centres
will be for the non symptomatic patients by providing them minimum facilities,
Ayush Doctor, Simple Nursing facilities and simple medical care. CHC will give
suport to mild symptoms patients with Oxygen, allopathic doctor and if needed
specialist and ICU facilities. The dedicated COVID hospital will have all the
facilities as per the government protocol to treat the positive patients.



The three tier system is implemented from Monday in the city
as administration declared the 1st phase till 10th May, 2nd phase from 11th to
30th May and third one will start from 1st June 2020.



Dr. Rao said Pioneer Campus with 1000 beds facility, ITI Ajwa
road with 150 beds, Rightway school Tandalja with 200 beds and High Speed Rail
Network hostels with 150 beds are working as CCC in the city. Gotri hospital
with 130 beds, Sumandeep hospital with 100 and Pioneer with 70 beds act as CHC
and for Dedicated COVID hospital Gotri is having 120 beds, railway divisional
hospital with 50 and 30 beds in Sumandeep are operational for the 1st phase.



He said the ventilators are enough and will get if needed.
They are also send a request to the state government for Rapid Testing Kits
which will help in 1st eliminations of patients and suspicious cases will
targeted for high probability testing. The aim is to early detection and
treatment of Corona patients in the city.
