Vadodara cyber crime team arrested one for online cheating

Vadodara cyber crime police arrested a accused from Rajkot for online cheating. Amitsingh Dariyasingh Mann cheat a person from Vadodara in the name of online KYC of Paytm wallet after asked him to download Team Viewer quick support application.

Premkumar Ramkishen Gera from Vadodara gives a complaint in the cyber crime cell about one unknown person called and asked him to complete the kyc of Paytm online account to continue the online transaction. And failing to do the same the account will be closed. Further in the complaint he mentioned that the caller asked him to download the apple version of Team Viewer Quick Support and cheat him with 94999 thousand from his Paytm savings account.

The complaint was given on 21/8/19 and cyber crime team of PI A.N. Vyas and J.I. Patel started investigating in the case. Meanwhile with the help of technical sources and informers the team arrested the accused from Rajkot on 2nd June 2020 and during investigation he accepted to commit the crime.

The accused Amitsingh Dariyasingh Mann presently resides in Jamnagar and originally from Jind district in Haryana studied till 12th and presently doing some business. Earlier also he was arrested in Saparveraval police station in Rajkot under IPC 406, 420, 120 IT Act 66 (C), (D).
