Vadodara crime branch team arrested one selling fake RT-PCR report without taking any type of Covid 19 samples

The whole country is fighting to defeat the deadly coronavirus and in between some people are taking this opportunity to earn money through fake RT-PCR reports and present them for mediclaim.

Vadodara police during a watch recieved information about one Rakesh Bhagwandas Mirchandani resident of Harikrishna society on Kishanwadi is involved in selling fake negative RT-PCR reports without taking any covid 19 samples.

Based on that the team sent a dummy customer and arrested him under various sections of IPC and Epidemic Act section 3. He will be arrested after the covid 19 test.

Talking about the Modus Operandi, the accused is associated with travel business and takes passengers to other states frequently. To stop the transition of corona, state governments have issued guidelines for passengers to present negative RT-PCR reports at the border.

The accused had to present the negative reports of himself and passengers at the borders and hence first prepare a fake report of himself through PDF software in his laptop and successfully crossed to another state.

Hence he start the business to provide negative fake RT-PCR reports to passengers and also prepare Corona positive reports for company employees to get extra relief, leave and mediclaim. He cheat people by providing them fake reports and charge money from them through Google Pay.

Further investigation is going on.
