Arrested two and declared seven as wanted

Vadodara crime branch busted a gang involved in stealing cows from different areas of the city during the lockdown. Police have nabbed two members of the gang with 7 cows. Remaining 4 members of the gang involved in this scam have been declared wanted and hunt is on to nab them.

During the lockdown period a video of a gang stealing cows in a Scorpio vehicle in Salatwada area goes viral on social media. Based on that a complaint was lodged by the Rabari community at the Karelibaug police station and following that the investigation was started by the Vadodara crime branch.

Under the guidance of DCP Crime Jaydeep Singh Jadeja, PSI of Crime Branch S.M. Bharwad, and staff Sanjay Bedse, Sanjay Prajapati, Sureshbhai, Rajubhai, Harendrasinh, Miteshgiri and team started investigating in the matter. Based on the information, Altaf Hussain Sheikh (Res. Kishan Nagar, Kelanpur, Dabhoi) was arrested. During interrogation, he confessed about sold the stolen cow to Fazal Shafiq Rober (Res. ST Colony Faliyu, Tankaria, Bharuch). Based on the confession, the Crime Branch team reached Tankaria and arrested Fazal Rober and seized 7 cow-calves, two Scorpio cars, a mobile phone total of Rs 4,45,500 from there.

Along with this police also seized two Scorpio cars used to steal cows. On the other hand, police have declared Ilias Mama, the owner of the Scorpio car involved in stealing the cows, cow picker Maqbool Sattar Mansuri, Akbar and taxi named person (all residents of Dholka, Ahmedabad district) as wanted and hunt is in to arrested them.
