Vadodara
crime branch arrested one for spreading rumors through posting fake message on
Facebook during COVID 19 lockdown. He was accused for posting fake message
about people tested positive stuck inside famous Vaishnodevi shrine.

During the
lockdown government is taking strict measures to implement the order strictly
and also issued some important advisories to follow. In one such advisory
police strictly issued a notification to stay away from posting fake posts on
social media and warn from strict action against such people.

In one such
case Vadodara police keeping a strict watch on social media and arrested one
Mohammad Abrar Mohammad Hussain Sheikh for posting a fake message about people
tested positive stuck inside famous Vaishnodevi shrine on his facebook. He is a
plumber by profession and post the fake message on the night of 2nd April 2020
through the url on 2nd April 2020.

He was
arrested under IPC section 505 (2) and Disaster Management Act 54 for spreading
fear in people in this situation through his post. Further investigation is on
in the matter.
