Vadodara crime branch arrested nine gathered to offer namaz

Vadodara crime branch arrested nine people for violation of lockdown order and gathered to offer Namaz at Panigate Mosque.

WHO declared COVID 19 as pandemic and India is also in the grip of Coronavirus. Gujarat government released guidelines to follow and in view of that Vadodara police issued the notification to close down malls, multiplexes, cinema halls and ban the gathering of people at one place to stop the virus from spreading.

As lockdown in place the police request people to stay at home and not move out of their houses unnecessarily. However many of them are still moving out and violate the orders. In one such incident crime branch team arrested nine people gathered at Panigate mosque to offer namaz.

They are booked under various offences and further investigation is going on in the matter.
