Amid coronavirus, the government has banned from celebrating any religious festivals in public throughout the month of August.

Ganeshotsav is starting from tomorrow where people installed Ganesh idols inside homes and pandals for ten days and worship the Lord with great enthusiasm.

However this year due to Coronavirus the festival will be a low key affair as government ordered to cancel every festival to avoid spread of virus. After Rathayatra, Janmashtami now Ganeshotsav will be celebrating as per the government guidelines issued in view of the pandemic.

In view of the that, Vadodara Congress on Friday gives a memorandum to the collector to give permission to celebrate the festival by installing the idols in smallest of tents and maintain social distancing. They request to allow the old tradition to continue keeping an eye on the present situation.

Congress president Prashant Patel, leader of opposition Chandrakant Srivastava and others remain present there to give memorandum to the collector.
