Vadodara Congress

started Janata Memo programme from 1st November parallel with the new traffic

rules to show the real picture of the city. The team clicks pictures of garbage

and send to the corporation in order to tell them about provide basic amenities

to people first and then implement the new rules.

Hefty traffic fines for the new rules lead to clashes between

people and police jawans in the city and to counter it Vadodara Congress

started the Janta Memo campaign in Vadodara. On Friday they visited the lake

near Kashivishwanath temple and showed the garbage inside.

Vadodara city Congress President Prashant Patel said the

state government is just collecting money from the new traffic rules and failed

to provide basic facilities to the people. In Vadodara the roads are in bad

shape, garbage everywhere, street lights not working and people getting water

in low pressure. Hence they started to issue memo to corporation through people

about the problems they are facing.

Local resident from nearby Rajstambh society Ajay Dalal said

they made countless representations to the corporation about the lake issue but

it's still the same. Every year in monsoon the society submerged in 4 to 5 foot

water and crocodiles moves freely inside. This year people faced losses due to

heavy rains in the city. He request the corporation to resolve the lake issue at

the earliest.
