Demand roll back of rising prices on petrol diesel and gas cylinders

On the occasion of Congress foundation day, Vadodara city Congress gives a memorandum to the collector with a demand to reduce the rising prices of petrol, diesel and gas bottles in the country.

Earlier the party flag was hoisted at the Congress office in the presence of Vadodara City Congress President Prashant Patel, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Srivastava, Ward Presidents, Councilors and Congress leaders.

Leading by the president the Congress leaders, members and supporters hold symbolic placards and march till Collector office in view of their demands to roll back the rising fuel prices in the country. They gives a memorandum at the Collectorate and request the government to reduce the prices and give some relief to the people.

“In the last three months of the lockdown, the people have been suffering due to frequent and unreasonable hikes in petrol and diesel prices as well as central excise duty on it. At a time when the country is facing an unprecedented health and economic epidemic, the government is profiting from the hardships of the people by repeatedly raising petrol, diesel prices and gas prices. We demand roll back of rising prices and give some relief to people in such difficult times,” said Prashant Patel.

The Vadodara City Congress today, on its foundation day on 28th of December appeals the government to withdraw the increase in petrol-diesel prices after March 8, 2020 and the increase in excise duty on it and give these benefits to the people.
