Vadodara Congress conduct protest programmes including Dharnas and roadblocks with a demand to postpone the JEE and NEET exams till proper arrangements are made in each district.

More than five activists were detained by police for violating the notification in place amid the Corona epidemic. There was a confrontation between the police and the activists during the protest.

As per the instructions of Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda, the party is organising programs across the state on Friday demanding postponement of JEE and NEET examinations till proper arrangements are made. As part of this, a protest rally was organised by the Congress led by Vadodara City Congress President Prashant Patel at Dandia Bazar Char Rasta.

A large number of leaders and activists including Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Srivastava, Councillors Chirag Zaveri, Anil Parmar and Nilesh Brahmbhatt, Amit Gotikar, Vraj Patel, Narendra Jaiswal were present at the event with posters and banners.

Slogans were raised by the Congress demanding postponement of JEE and NEET exams in each district till adequate arrangements are made. The traffic was also disrupted after Congress members and supporters sit on the road and block the movement.

Police rushed to the spot and detained many Congress leaders and supporters for violation of Covid 19 notification. Heated arguments also are seen over police action and the Congress supporters shouted slogans against them.

Congress also put allegations on police for misbehaved with the women supporters. They also show their ire over the police action and shouted slogans against them.

Congress President said, they are protesting in the interest of the people and the police talked about the violation of the Covid 19 notification. They will not afraid of this and will continue to fight for the people.
