Appeal citizens to contribute to the fund for soldiers defending the nation and their families

The National Defence Force has implemented multifaceted welfare schemes for the rehabilitation of the families of the veterans who laid down their lives as well as for the rehabilitation of the soldiers discharged from the Armed Forces due to physical injuries in war and military operations and for the welfare of their families. Funds are raised on the Armed Forces Flag Day for the implementation of these schemes. Commencement of formal fund raising program done every year on 9th December.

Armed Forces Flag Day has been celebrated on December 7 every year since the year 1949. The money raised in the Armed Forces Flag Day fund is used for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.

On Monday 7th December 2020 at 11.30 am at Collectorate Vadodara, Shalini Agarwal, Collector and President of District Soldier Welfare will present the symbol of Armed Forces Flag Day to District Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation Office Vadodara. An auspicious start is made to collect this contribution from the hands of the Collector and therefore it is acceptable that citizens participate in this contribution and make a reasonable contribution to the fund for the soldiers who are defending the nation.

The District Collector has appealed to all the citizens of the district to participate in the noble work of national service by making due contribution to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
