Discussed benefits of rain water harvesting project implemented inside the school

Rainwater harvesting project has been implemented in all the primary schools of the district as part of the initiative of Vadodara Collector Shalini Agarwal. All the schools have completed the work and ready to store the rain water.

On Monday Shalini Agarwal reviewed the management of Rainwater Harvesting Project of Sayajipura village primary school and had a detailed discussion with the school principal, teachers and district planning officer about the results to be achieved in the near future.

The city and surrounding areas have received good rainfall recently and if this rain water is properly stored and lowered to the bottom then it will solve the saline water problem in the area around Sayajipura village. At the same time with this the ground water level will also rise.

Shalini Agarwal said, all the schools in the district are covered under the Rainwater Harvesting Project and almost all schools have completed it before the arrival of monsoon. The project has been funded under the Corporate Social Responsibility and the effective design has been created at low cost by the engineers.

The primary school teachers of Sayajipura have worked hard for this project and deserves a applaud for their efforts. This project will save millions of liters of rain water.
