Vadodara city police not only ensure to implement law and order situation in the city but also to help people in need during the lockdown situation. In one such initiative a Police Kitchen is started at Pratapnagar headquarter to provide food to labourers, poor, people living in slums, footpaths and underbridge.

The kitchen is maintained by PSI H.D. Vyas and other police women who comes here to cook food after their daily eight hours duty at various points in the city.

The women police constable in such difficult situations are not only managing between their families and duty but also prepare food for the people in need. On an average their prepare food for 400 people in the Police Kitchen at Pratapnagar.

The food was later distributed to the people living in Dhantekri slums at Manjalpur and people lives under the bridge. The teams maintain social distance while distributing the food to the needy.
