Demand three months waiver of electricity bills for the consumers

Vadodara city Congress on Wednesday gives a memorandum to the MD of Central Gujarat Power Company with a demand to waive the electricity bills of the people who were already in trouble due to the Coronavirus epidemic. They said the government was only thinking of its own revenue and does not think of the income of people.

City Congress president Prashant Patel said, people were sitting at home in a lockdown to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. No income has been generated due to closure of employment and some people have lost their jobs. With the opening of the lockdown, the Gujarat government has started issuing electricity bills thinking of its own revenue and not the income of people.

On Wednesday the city Congress gives a memorandum to the MD at the office of Central Gujarat Power Company near Racecourse Circle. They demand waiver of three months light bills for electricity consumers of Central Gujarat. A large number of Congress workers joined the city congress program following the guideline of Covid-19.
