Vadodara city celebrates Mahashivratri with great enthusiasm by remembering Lord Shiva on Monday. Devotees observed fasting for the whole day visit temples and chanting prayers for the well being of their families.

Mahashivratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honor of Lord Shiva. Devotees visits Shiva temples and offered fruits, flowers, vegetables, Bili Patra and many other things to Mahadev. Famous Kuber Bhandari temple at Karnali Dabhoi is also seen the crowd of devotees since morning visit there to pay their respects to Lord Shiva.

The temple administrator Rajni Pandya said devotees came visiting the temple since midnight to offer their prayers to the Lord Shiva. This year Vaishnavacharya Dwarkeshlalji Maharaj offered the morning arti to the Kuber Bhandari joined by others on the occasion of Mahashivratri.

The devotees after the bath inside Narmada river offers water, juice of sugarcane, honey to Kuber Bhandari. Like every year yagya, Mahaarti and a procession will be organised at the famous temple.

In Vadodara city devotees visits various temples like Shree Kashivishwanath, Nageshwar Mahadev and many others situated inside and nearby. Bhaang is also distributed at the makeshift outlets outside the temples and people make beeline to taste it.
