Vadodara and Waghodia taluka administration is on alert as 3340 cusecs of water was released from Ajwa Sarovar Considering the rule level, it is necessary to maintain 212 feet water level in Ajwa Sarovar. The water level was recorded at 212.30 feet at Ajwa and 8.50 feet at Vishwamitri at Kala Ghoda at Sunday afternoon today.

It is decided to release 3340 cusecs of water from the 62 doors of Ajwa dam and based on that the administration of Vaghodia and Vadodara villages have been alerted as per the instructions of District Collector Shalini Agrawal.

There are total 17 villages, 7 at Waghodia and 10 villages in Vadodara districtse. In order to protect the lives and property of the people, the administration of these two talukas has been asked to take necessary precautionary measures in the villages of Vishwamitri and to take necessary precautionary measures. The people of all the villages living on the banks of the river are requested not to go near the river, stay and keep the cattle safe.
