School administration welcome the students with flowers and sweets at exam centres

Vadodara all set for the board exams starting from 7th March Thursday. More than 85,000 students will appear in 10th and 12th exams at various centers in the city. The school administration welcome the students with flowers and sweets to wish them before they appear in their exams on the very first day.

District Education Office and school administration make all arrangements for smooth conducting of exams at centers. On the first day the school administration welcome the students in traditional way to wish them luck before the exams.

Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB) conducting board exams starts from Thursday and the respective schools make every arrangements to welcome the students. From bands, sweets and flowers the schools make every effort to make the environment light to vanish the fear from the minds of the students.

Jai Ambe Vidyalaya in Karelibaug area of Vadodara city welcomed the board students with school band and roses. To wish them good luck the students were given sweets when they entered the centers. There is also a box named Prayashchit Peti where the students drop the chits if any before entering the exam centers.

Vadodara Collector Shalini Agrawal and DEO Dr. Umedsinh Rathod welcomed the students at Convent of Jesus and Mary school at Fatehgunj and wish them luck in their exams.

“Its good to see students appear in the exams with a fresh mind and we welcome them with roses and sweets at the centres. District administration make all arrangements for smooth conduct of exams at every level. This year we also launched the Samvedna Helpline for the students to help them cope with the exam pressure. The 24/7 helpline will allow the students to call any time of the day where the team of specialists resolve their queries,” said Shalini Agrawal Collector Vadodara.

All the 2964 blocks are covered with CCTV for close monitoring of exams. “We make every arrangements for smooth conducting of exams at centres. CCTV’s are installed at every blocks and the string rooms for question papers. Every exam day two entire recording CD’s of every block will be send to us where one CD will be sending to the board. Every centres at the city and district is under close monitoring, ” said DEO Dr. Umedsinh Rathod.

For 10th the 170 exam centers are distributed in four zones where 55243 students is appearing for the board exams. In 12th General stream 21,191 students appear in 71 centres, for Science stream 8936 students appear in 40 centers in the city. CCTV are installed in all 281 centres with on duty security personnel outside. At sensitive centres class 1 and 2 officers will check the proceedings. Vehicle arrangements also is there for the students coming from rural areas to appear for the exams. Police put 144 around the centers to ensure smooth conduct of exams.
