Made special arrangements to remove kites from runway during the two days of kite flying

Cultural city Vadodara is already in celebration mood as Uttrayan the festival of kites is just round the corner. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and every year people from different cities and countries visited here to indulge themselves in the festive mood.

Vadodara airport like every year already also ready to welcome the visitors with colours of culture and decorated it premises with different types of kites. The waiting area, indoors all are decorated with kites to give people a glimpse and essence of festive season in start of the new year. The big kite with a thread roller is the centre of attraction for the visitors at the airport.

The aim is to promote culture and art of Gujarat during the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.

Not only that Airports Authority of India in the interest of Passengers and Aircraft operating from Vadodara airport on Makar sankranti has made special arrangements during the festival. A team of 10 chasers with two vehicles has deployed for tomorrow and day after tomorrow, so that thread and kites if came on runway shall be immediately removed.
