Protested by opening shops briefly, demand to allow them open their shops
A mini lockdown has been implemented in the Gujarat to curb Corona. This decision has badly affected the business of hair salons and beauty parlors, ladies tailors, home appliance businesses in Vadodara including the entire state. It also affected the monthly income of many daily workers working in their own or rented property. The situation is getting worse and the traders of Vadodara have approached the administration for allowing them to open their business.
Traders in the Sama area opened their shops and staged a unique protest against the system. However, after closing their shops they said that the country was fighting the corona epidemic and traders of hair cutting salons, beauty parlors, tailors, home appliances are also fighting in urban areas. As they are a working class people and are able to earn a living every day. But with mini lockdown their condotion has become worse. The question is how they will pay their rents and other expenses. So they demanded to continue their business in a limited time during the day.
They also accused the government for indirectly allowing birthday celebrations by keeping other sweet shops and bakeries open. They further said that the government is only making lucrative advertisements, but has not received anything in the name of financial assistance yet.
