Undertrial committed suicide inside Vadodara central jail

A undertrail prisoner committed suicide inside Vadodara central jail for unknown reasons. Raopura police registered the case and further investigating to know the exact reason behind the extreme step. Police also started questioning the family members.

Sanjay Kanubhai Vasava (19), a resident of Borbar village in Dabhoi taluka of Vadodara district was absconding after a complaint was registered against him for molesting a minor. He was into polishing diamonds in Surat and during the lockdown visited his village when police arrested him. After the screening at SSG he was send to central jail.

He committed suicide by hanged himself with a towel in the open space in Barrack No. 4 of the jail on Friday night. Raopura police registered the case and further investigation is on in the matter.
