A ugly incident of clash between two Rabbari groups happened during the counting of District Panchayat elections in Vadodara.

The losing candidate of Kotali Gram Panchayat hit the winning candidate with a milk can which happens to be the election symbol of the losing candidate. The winning candidate was rushed to the SSG hospital after injured on head and both the groups came clashing in with each other. Navapura police registered the matter in this regard and further investigating.

Gram Panchayat elections of Vadodara district was held on 27th December and for that the counting of the votes starting on 29th December at Baghikhana in Vadodara city. Supporters of the candidates reached the spot from the morning and waited anxiously for the results.

In the meanwhile the counting started for the 8th ward and Sarpanch of Kotali Gram Panchayat situated near Golden crossroads. The situation get tensed as both the candidates for Sarpanch Jagdish Rabbari and Kanu Rabbari were present with their supporters at the counting centre.

During the counting Kanu Rabbari was declared Sarpanch as his team won five out of the eight wards and his supporters teased Jagdish Rabbari. The agitated Jagdish hit the winning Kanu Rabbari on his head with the milk can which happens to be his election symbol. Kanu recieved serious injuries on head and was rushed to the SSG for treatment. However after the incident both the supporters clashed and four persons got injured in that.

The injured winning candidate Kanu Rabbari was given police protection after the attack. All the injured are taking treatment inside the SSG hospital. Police present on the spot control the situation immediately after the clash and Navapura police registered the case and further investigating.
