Two died after mowed down by JCB at new expressway construction site in Karjan taluka

Two persons working on the new expressway being constructed between Manpur and Surwada villages in Karjan taluka were killed when they came under the JCB working on the site. The injured were rushed to Padra Government Hospital where doctors pronounced both dead. In preliminary police investigation it has revealed that the incident happened while the JCB was reversed by the driver.

In the complaint lodged at the Karjan police station given by Subehsingh Bisambarsingh Jatap (Res. Virpur village, PQC plant campus) states, Vishal Jagdishbhai Jatap (20) and Ramvir Sukhalal Jatap (24) are both natives of Nadwai village in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Currently both of them lived in the campus of PQC plant in the border of Virpur village. Both are working at the site of express highway that has been being built between Manpur and Surwada village for some time now of laying plastic rug.

Late at night a JCB was passing on this road and the driver was taking reverse without looking behind and both Vishal Jatap and Ramveer Jatap working came under it. Both screamed in pain as people on campus rushed to the scene. Before people could arrive at the venue, J.C.B. driver fled from the spot left behind the vehicle. Workers, on the other hand immediately rushed the injured to Padra CHC where doctors pronounced both dead.

Meanwhile, the incident was reported to the Karjan police and they rushed to the spot. During primary investigation it was revealed that the JCB driver was reversing without looking back. The incident which took place late at night caused grief among the people living on the campus of the PQC plant. Based on the complaint, Karjan police registered a accident case against the driver and further investigating in the case to arrest him.
