Due to the government decision of ban 500 and 1000 rupees notes from Tuesday midnight there was a big rush at the Karjan toll plaza and one can see long ques of vehicles stranded on NH 8 near Vadodara.

Sources said that due to the ban the toll plaza workers refused to accept the 500 and 1000 rupees notes and asked for change. As the commuters are paying taxes through 10, 50 and 100 rupees there was long ques of vehicles behind as it took time for the payment.

In Vadodara some petrol pump owners put up board of not accepting 500 and 1000 rupees notes and the scenes of clashes between people and the petrol pump owners were seen.

By evening the petrol pump put up the board of not availability of 50 and 100 rs notes and requested the customers to pay change. Due to the notice the customers are forced to fill the tank whoever has 500 rupees with them.

In other petrol pumps they refused to give any change to the customers who are having 500 or 1000 rupees notes and hence forced to fill the tank or return away.
