200 traffic brigade jawans went on indefinate strike regarding their various demands. The jawans under Vadodara Traffic Education Trust gives honorary service there and demand increase in their Allowance, unnecessary harassment and implementing fine on them. However the trustees termed the strike as illegal as they are gives their services on honorary basis.

Jayaben Vasava and Sharda Parmar working in VTET said that giving various reasons like going to washroom, having tea or wearing sleepers 125 rs is taken as fine from them. They were exploited in the name of honorary service. Until their demands were met they will not resume their duties.

Ashish Rawal, Gautam Chikhalia, Ranjit Rathwa said that they are doing eight hours duty everyday like the government and semi government departments and get 250rs per day. However in this money of one day week off is deducted and also fined for various reasons and deduct in allowance.

They further said that the trustee saw the CCTV footage from the police control room and if anyone was seen missing from there fined of 125 rupees. They accused the department of unnecessary harassment and went on strike from Wednesday.

They demand to increase their Allowance to 400 and stop unnecessary harassment to them. They also threaten not to return to duty unless their demands were met.

However the trustee of VTET Suryakant Amin said that they don't have the right for strike and if they have any queries they should approach us. They all are doing honorary service and for that they are giving Allowance and also medical insurance of 1 lakh rupees. He also said that it's honorary service and if they want they can serve or else left the job. And the fine is for discipline he added.
