Toppers felicitated at Annual Day Celebration of Faculty of Technology and Engineering at CHARUSAT

Annual Felicitation Function on the Annual Day forms an integral part of any institution’s activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honors for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.

The Institutes, Chandubhai S Patel Institute of Technology (CSPIT) and Devang Patel Institute of Advance Technology and Research (DEPSTAR) are the constituents of Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FTE), which is the premier Faculty of Charotar University of Science and Technology. The Annual Day Celebration of Faculty of Technology and Engineering was held on February 03, 2020 (Monday) at CHARUSAT.

Dr. Amit Ganatra, Dean of FTE and Principal of DEPSTAR extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries who were present.

Gaurav Ghelani, Regional head for Academic interface program, TCS was Chief Guest on the occasion. He delivered motivated speech by saying “Every individual is known by its institution from where he has come. It is the institution that creates young engineers who works for the Nation”.

Tejinder Oberoi, Vice Chairman, GESIA and Director, Cygnet Infotech adorned the event as Guest of Honor. He guided students about the working environment of industries and asked them to keep broader perspective, not to get stuck with one particular thing in industry as industry needs are changing rapidly so one should be adaptive and should be able to cope up with the changes for their career development.

The dignitaries – Dr. Pankaj Joshi, Provost, CHARUSAT, Devang R Patel, fondly known as Devangbhai Ipcowala, who is a successful Industrialist, a philanthropist and Patron of DEPSTAR, Dr. M.C.Patel, Hon. Secretary, Matrusanstha, Kelvani Mandal & CHRF , Naginbhai M Patel, President, Matrusanstha & CHRF Ashokbhai Patel, Vice-President, Kelavani Mandal, Dr. A D. Patel, Principal, CSPIT and Dr. Amit Ganatra, Dean, FTE and Principal, DEPSTAR adorned the event with their presence.

Dr M C Patel shared his experience about the growth journey of CHARUSAT and inspired students to be ambitious and reach the pinnacles of success. Dr. Pankaj Joshi motivated everyone for doing best quality research and innovation to contribute for the Nation. Dr. Devang Joshi inspired them to make CHARUSAT proud and globally known University.

Dr. A.D.Patel and Dr. Amit Ganatra presented the annual report of CSPIT and DEPSTAR for the academic year 2018-19 respectively in which they discussed about the year round activities. They read out the achievements – both Academic and Co-curricular and wished success to the students who could not make up for the prizes. They briefed about the workshops, seminars, hackethons and various technical and non-technical events conducted in 2018-19 for the embellishment of students.

The Annual Prize Distribution and Felicitation function was a moment of pride and honor for all the winners and achievers. The students were awarded prizes by the dignitaries and achievements of students who have excelled in various on campus and off campus competitions were appreciated.

Devangbhai Patel addressed students that they are lucky to have such caring teachers at CHARUSAT who nurture them just like their parents and are putting great efforts for their career development. He appreciated the activities done and planned by Faculty of Technology and Engineering and announced to donate a total of Rs. 90 Lacs to DEPSTAR for academic enrichment activities.
