Top engineering colleges from 16 states will compete in Aravalli Terrain Vehicle Championship, a national level All Terrain Vehicle Designing and racing event. The event will be conducted for the first time in Vadodara and is a golden opportunity for the budding engineers to show their creative and innovative skills and also make their presence felt before the 150 odd companies remain present for a mega job fair.

ATVC, Aravalli Terrain Vehicle Championship, is a national level designing and racing event conducted in association with AlCTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and Rajasthan Technical University since last two years at Kota, Rajasthan. This time the event is going to be held for the first time in the industries dominated city Vadodara Gujarat.

The track of ATVC has been regarded as the toughest track in India where 100 innovative designs will be competing for the top spots in various categories decided by the organisers. There had been direct participation of around 2000 students and indirect participation of around 10000 students in these events previously. The total prize money for the event is around 13 lakhs for the M vehicles and E bikes participation in the event. The top five teams will get a chance to participate in International ATV Racing Championships as well.

"We wish to work as a bridge between a large network of students, faculties, mentors, engineers, seminars, events, opportunities, creativities, innovations, leadership qualities, industrialists. We add a new dimension to the event by bringing in extensive Industry collaboration and Student participation for mutual benefit. The aim is to make engineers explore their skills through practical implementation and get an opportunity to showcase their designs before the companies present there at the job fair," said Pawan Tiwari.

The local administration under the leadership of collector Shalini Agrawal is providing the platform to the young engineers to showcase their skills in dream to design concept. "Government is undertaking Start up India, Make in India, Women empowerment, clean India and employment generating opportunities in various sectors and this event will definitely boost the initiatives in a broader scale. The event will be beneficial for the youths and inspire others to work towards their creativity and innovation. The big demonstration of vehicles will give the visitors as well as the companies to go through the ideas of future young minds. Various industrial associations, automobile industries, district administration and others is supporting the event to give platform to the young engineers to showcase their skill for futuristic India," said Shalini Agrawal Collector Vadodara.

Talking about the technical details, Designs and technical specifications (Rule Book) have been given by the organizers which states the vehicles must have Engine Capacity: 305 CC (B & S), Maximum Width, 64 Inches, Maximum Length, 108 Inches,

No. of Wheels: Four (4), Braking Distance, 15 Feet and Holding Capacity, Driver of 108 Kgs.

According to the rule book provided by the organizing team, ATVs shall be designed,

fabricated and demonstrated by the students pursuing engineering course (Diploma & Degree) in various engineering colleges of India.

Total 100 teams from 16 states like Maharashtra, Delhi, J&K, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Utter Pradesh, Hyderabad and Gujarat will be taking part in the event. Five teams from Gujarat which include two from Vadodara will take part in the national event going to be held in Panjrapole ground near national highway.

Top colleges like IIT BHU, IIT J&K, IIT Jodhpur, BITS Pilani, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Jalandhar, Pune college of engineering and Silver Oak college of engineering will be featuring among other colleges in the event.

Technical Inspection, Brake Test, Sledge Pull Test, Acceleration Test, Maneuverability Test, Suspension and Traction Test, Mega marketing award, Endurance Test, Cost Evaluation, Innovation Test, Design evaluation, Business model presentation, Best innovation and Light weight award are going to be held and judged by experts coming from various automobile industries.

HR Summit, Genius Talk, Food Festival, Mega job fair and other event for social and skill development are some of the associated events with ATVC.
