Three low-intensity earthquake quakes hit Himachal Pradesh on 27th August but there were no damage to life or property, The epicenter of all the three quakes was recorded in the Kullu region.

The first quake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit the state at 6.44 a.m. and the second and the third of 4.3 and 4.2 magnitude temblor struck at 7.05 a.m. and 9.08 a.m

All educational institutes were closed as a precaution since the area recorded around 15 small tremors.

According to the sources maximum impact of the quake was seen in Ani and Nirmand areas of Kullu district, besides Rampur in Shimla district.
