The herdsman lifted 7 cows and 8 calves
The Karelibagh police station has registered a case of theft of 15 animals from a cattle shed near Khaswadi cemetery in Vadodara city. Police started investigating to trace the accused for theft of animals worth 1.50 lakhs from the shed.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Panchal, acting market superintendent in Vadodara Municipal Corporation, in a complaint lodged at the Karelibaug police station said, he is the officer-in-charge of the cattle carts and supervision of the cattle sheds of Lalbaug, Khaswadi and Khatamba is under him. The cattle caught by the teams are kept in these sheds which are under the VMC.
Meanwhile, Vallabhbhai Desai who was handling the operation of Khaswadi cattle shed informed about the theft of cattle from the shed by cattle breeders. During investigation it was found that seven cows and eight calves are missing from there.
It is to be mentioned that municipality has chipped all the stolen animals and recorded in the register. As they count 15 animals are found missing and a complaint was given in Karelibaug police station against the unidentified herdsmen. Police registered the case against them for stealing Rs 1.10 lakh and further investigating.
Pappu Bhai Vahonia, security guard at the cattle shed said during police interrogation, that early in the morning he heard some sound at the back side if the shed and saw some unidentified cattle herdsmen sit on the wall of the cattle shed. They involved in theft of the animals and fled after he shouted.
