Displays his art work inspired by paintings of Raja Ravi Varma
Inspired by the work of celebrated artist Raja Ravi Verma, Dr Ravidarshanji displayed his art works on Indo Western style in Vadodara. 26 pictures on display shows the stories behind every work and make people not watch but read the paintings.
After receiving Homeopathic Medical Degree in 1997, Dr Ravidarshanji got interested in painting at an early age and from his own hard work he moved on to painting. Adapted the style of Raja Ravi Varma, he creates his own style of painting and displayed the work.
These pictures are as beautiful as the colors are. Each painting has been decorated with fine artisan frames, beautiful places inspired by his travels, palaces, and masterpieces from elegant princely costumes, ornaments and private museums. The principles of his life are also covered in the pictures.
“This is an autobiography created by my colors and illustrations. Bhuvneshwari Shakti Pith is well known in Gondal so as our family and I use to visit Laxmi Vilas Palace frequently. I saw the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma and was impressed with his style. It was in 2003 that I decide to adapt his style and make my own creations. These painting are the efforts of last five years showcase the mythological characters of Ramayana and Mahabharata in my style. The paintings are inspired by my travelling to various places and I design the frames as per the region and culture. This is a unique exhibition where the viewers not only watch but can read the paintings,” said Dr. Ravidarshanji.
