“The Inauguration of Sayaji Startup Summit on 1st June 2017”
Sayaji Startup Summit completed first day successfully at the Inauguration ceremony. The dignitaries that were invited gave motivating speeches to the participants and the audience.
Swami Nikhilwaranand addressed their as an extension of the startup movement initiated by our PM Shri Narendra Modi. Dr. Neerja Jaiswal and Jigar Inamdar too congratulated the organisers and participants for making this huge event happen.
The Startup of the sports, education and nano – technology were taken up for pitching infront of the jury. The ideas of the new and already running businesses were brilliant and had impressed the jury. The teams have futuristic vision pertaining to their subjects like sports that should be brought to all people and propagated in a better way and education sector where the teams presented ideas to solve the current issues which the students faced.
The jury judged the participants on multiple parameters, which are:
- Confidence
- Time management
- Clarity of the idea
- Profitability of the business
- Uniqueness
- Potential market competition.
The process starts with the introduction of the startup idea, detail presentation strategies of the participants to expand or evolve in the market followed by the cross questioning by the jury. The participants are also asked to make clear the amount of investment needed and also the kind of mentorship they would like to have from the mentors in the future.
Pitching are also conducted where it is a ‘open mike’ for all the audiences as well as the participants to share their ideas. On 2nd June the health- care, biotech, pharma and chemical startups will be presenting their ideas. Also, the workshop on “how to IDEATE” will be conducted by Maulik Mehta who is the director and the chief executive of Infinity Consultant Limited.
The workshop will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Iplex, above Spencer Mall, Genda Circle, and its “open for all”. It is a great opportunity for those who want to know and also clear their doubts about how to start their business. Its not only a lecture, but also a discussion on various relevant CASE STUDIES followed by a question and answer session.
This summit is yet to host many more startups in the successive days and also the interactive sessions.
