Apple's mobile operating system has been updated to fix dropped calls on iPhone devices, including the iPhone 12 and 13.
The release of iOS 15.1.1, an upgraded version of iOS 15.1, addresses a call drop performance issue on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, as well as other minor issues.
Users of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 have recently experienced a rash of dropped calls, preventing them from accepting incoming calls.
According to the Yonhap news agency, Apple users in an online group in South Korea experienced similar problems, particularly among those subscribed to LG Uplus Corp., a major South Korean cellphone operator.
LG Uplus has received customer complaints, according to a corporate spokesperson, and is working to determine the actual problem.
Users can now update to the latest iOS version from their smartphones' Settings app.
Apple has released a new HomePod software update, version 15.1.1.
The update, according to Apple's release notes, fixes a bug that might cause podcasts to stop playing on the HomePod and HomePod mini.
Apple's smart speakers will update themselves automatically, but customers can also do it manually.
Open the Home app and hit the Home symbol in the upper-left corner of the screen to execute a manual HomePod firmware update. From the pop-up box that appears, select Home Settings. Then select Software Update from the drop-down menu. More information is available on Apple's support website.
