The year 2022 is filled with first steps to the Moon

The space activities of 2021 were dominated by robotic missions to Mars and developments in space tourism. The moon, on the other hand, is set to stand out this year as firms and governments launch a variety of moon-bound spacecraft.

The majority of these missions are part of NASA's multibillion-dollar Artemis programme, which aims to return astronauts to the moon later this decade and perform routine science missions on its surface in preparation for future trips to Mars (a far more ambitious endeavour that will probably not happen in this decade).
