OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) company, could soon make its mark in the world of robotics.
As reported by sources, OpenAI plans to enter the humanoid robot sector. Reportedly, the company has been in discussions about bringing humanoid robots.
Until 2021 OpenAI had a specific division for robots. However, it had to shut down the division as it decided to focus more on artificial intelligence software.
The confirmation was made by Wojciech Zaremba, the leader of that division during that time.
He announced in a podcast that the team gave up on it because they couldn’t train something according to the desired intelligence level.
But now back to 2024, the company again plans to make a fresh start and step into this sector.
Some other reports suggest that OpenAI also aims to collaborate with TSMC and Broadcom.
The aim is to develop their first in-house chip to support its artificial intelligence systems.
