Later this year, Samsung is expected to release TVs featuring LG Display's OLED panels.
Samsung will produce new TV models that employ LG Display's white W-OLED panels, according to Elec. Samsung has already signed a deal with LG Display to supply W-OLED panels for a portion of its TV portfolio in 2022.
During CES 2022, Samsung CEO Han Jong-hee stated that the company was open to purchasing LG Display's OLED panels.
During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022, Samsung introduced its newest micro-LED, Neo QLED, and lifestyle TVs, which promise improved picture and sound quality, additional screen size possibilities, customisable accessories, and an overhauled UI.
The Micro-LED, which comes in sizes of 110-inch, 101-inch, and 89-inch, provides best-in-class picture quality thanks to 25 million micrometre-sized LEDs that emit light and colour individually, creating a highly immersive experience.
The 2022 Micro-LED has a 20-bit greyscale depth, which means it can express every detail in a scene. It also has over 1 million steps of brightness and colour levels, allowing for a genuine HDR experience.
