Team CHARUSAT selected among top 20 national finalists in BEST-2018

It’s a matter of pride for Charusat and Gujarat as the team of PD Patel Institute of Applied Sciences (PDPIAS), affiliated to CHARUSAT has been selected among the top 20 national finalists. The final round is to be held during 17-20 December 2018 at Bengaluru where the students will be representing the university.

The Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India and Association of Biotech led Enterprises (ABLE) jointly organized the national level competition, ‘Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Student Teams- 2018′ (BEST-2018) where the team from Charusat reached the finals.

The team consists of leader Samir Ramnikbhai Dedania (PhD- Biological sciences) from Changa, Nidhi Patel (PhD – Chemistry) from Anand, Shamini Singh (MSc, Biotechnology) from Ahmedabad, Harsh Patel (BSc. Biochemistry) from Vadodara and Bansri Vyas (BSc. Physics) from Anand thanked the CHARUSAT management and all the respective heads and faculties for their guidance and timely support.

Their project “Magnetic Carrier Based Waste Water Treatment” will be helpful in efficiently treating the industrial and domestic waste water and making it reusable. The university officials and PDPIAS staff congratulated them and wished them exemplary success in the coming rounds. PDPIAS has been bestowed with 48thranking nationally in NIRF by MHRD, GOI, amongst all science colleges and Institutes.
