On Tuesday morning another large scale manufacturer of electrical power equipment, Taikai Electric (India) Pvt Ltd, started their construction in Vododara. The construction here in Gujarat will be by Gupta Construction and the facility will be ready by end of this year. The Managing Director of Taikai India along with Taikai Chairman and many other company officials remain present at the foundation laying ceremony.The major product of the company, GIS (Gas Insulation Switchgear), is the advanced substation equipment in the world today with the advantages of space-saving, high security and stability comparing with traditional AIS(Air Insulation Switchgear). According to the company officials the project covers an area of 20 acres which will be put into production by early 2018. The factory will manufacture GIS of various voltage levels up to 765kV which is the highest voltage level products operated commercially in Power Grid of India.
