Swachhta pakhwada by NCC directorate Gujarat

As part of Swachhata Pakhwada being observed across the country from 01 to 15 December, NCC Directorate Gujarat is playing its part in the mission effectively. NCC cadets are conducting a major cleanliness and awareness drive during this period to spread the message of Swachh Bharat in all of Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Diu and Daman.

The focus of these activities has been to create awareness among the locals and encourage self participation willingly to keep their surroundings clean.

Activities associated with Swachhta Pakhwada has been Jagrukta Abhiyan, Shramdaan and a day of ‘Plogging’ done all over Gujarat, Plogging is a recreational activity that combines exercise with fun and environmental awareness. A Pan Gujarat plogging activity by NCC cadets was conducted today at many location across the state where locals were also encouraged to participate whole heartedly.

In addition to plogging, various other events are being organized during the Swachhta Pakhwada such as talks / lectures on Waste Plastic Management, Nukkad nataks on environmental awareness and Shramdaan at many prominent locations such as historical monuments all across the state.
