Swachch Bharat Abhiyan and Health Camp at Lekawada Gandhinagar

Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan and a Free Medical Camp for the underprivileged was organised at Lekawada village in Gandhinagar on the 04th and 06th Jul 2019 with an aim to spread awareness about cleanliness and hygiene among the residents. The medical camp was set up on 06 Jul 19 to carry out medical screening of village residents, provide primary healthcare and medical advice to those found suffering from any ailment.

Villagers in large number availed the benefits of the camp. Both initiatives were well received by all and Baljeet Arora attributes it to the effort put in by all members of AFWWA or Sanginis as they are called in IAF parlance.

Air Force Wives Welfare Association, the welfare arm of the Indian Air Force takes every measure to bring cheer and happiness among the families of Air Force personnel. Apart from providing succor to its members within the Air Force fraternity, AFWWA also contributes in its social responsibility towards upliftment of the underprivileged sections of the society.

Baljeet Arora, a visionary and the President of AFWWA (Regional) at Gandhinagar, oversees the functioning of all the 26 AFWWA (Locals) that are part of area of responsibility of South Western zone of IAF.
