Suspended Maharashtra police jawan along with one arrested for robbery in Pune

Both arrested by police from Vadodara

With the help of Vadodara crime branch team, Maharashtra crime branch arrested two accused involved in robbery of 10 lakhs from Jewellery store in Pune. The incident happened one month earlier where the accused fired and robbed the jewellery. Out of the two arrested one was suspended police jawan and earlier involved in three cases of robbery.

As per details a robbery was reported in jewellery showroom on Kothrud road in Pune on 25th November 2019. The accused fired and robbed jewellery worth 10,19,600 from the showroom. During investigation Maharashtra crime branch received the information about the accused taking shelter and hiding in Vadodara.

Taking the help of Vadodara crime branch the Maharashtra crime branch arrested the duo hiding in a lodge in Sayajigunj area of the city. The team arrested suspended Maharashtra police jawan Sushil Maghre and another accused Amit Chaudhary with pistol, three cartridges, knife and two Mangalsutras from them.

Giving details Crime branch PI J.J. Patel said the accused hiding in Delhi, Kolkata after the robbery and took shelter in Vadodara for last three days in a lodge in Sayajigunj area. Both inloved in loot with fire and one of them Sushil Maghre joined Maharashtra police in 2010. He was involved in three cases of robbery in 2017 and he was later suspended from service. Both were arrested by Maharashtra police with the help of Vadodara crime branch and took them to Maharashtra for further investigation.
