Supreme Court stays FIR against Major Aditya in sophian firing case
X

In the case of firing by the army during stone pelting in Shopian, the Supreme Court has said that no action will be taken against the army's Major Aditya Kumar till the next hearing on the FIR. In this case, the Supreme Court has asked the Jammu and Kashmir government and the Attorney General to answer within two weeks.

In the petition filed in the Supreme Court, Major's father demanded the cancellation of the FIR lodged on January 27 in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir.

The father of Major Aditya Kumar of the 10 Garhwal Rifle, Lt Col Karmaveer Singh has said in the petition filed in the Supreme Court that the morale of the Indian Army soldiers who are trying to save the honor of the national flag should be protected. The way in which the FIR was depicted by the political leadership in the state and the state's high administration was projected. It seems that there is a opposite situation in the state. This is their son's right to equality for them and the right to live a life of justice.
