Taking the ‘Kabali’ mania to another level, southern megastar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited movie Kabali – a gangster drama -is released today in nearly 10,000 screens worldwide.

It happens only with superstar Rajinikanth, the god of cinema, the man of the moment. The release of the superstar’s latest ‘Kabali’ has ushered in a festive atmosphere for the people of South India.


After the mediocre response to his last two films, namely Lingaa and Kochadiiyaan, superstar Rajinikanth is all set to break box office records with Kabali. Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the action movie stars Rajinikanth, Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Winston Chao and Santhosh Narayanan, amongst others.

‘Kabali’s story deals with the plight of migrant Indian community, specifically the Tamilians, who lived in Malaysia. About 30 years back in time, many of the Indian laborers working in Malaysia, used to work as drug traffickers and goons under Chinese mafia gangs. One man, Kabaleeswaran alias Kabali, takes a stand for the betterment of his community. Himself a gang member working under gangster Sitaramaraj Kabali takes over the gang leadership on Sitaramaraj’s untimely death.


Made with a budget of 100 crore, the movie is predicted to enter the prestigious 100 crore club in just three days of its release!
