Pratap Mandey a well known artist in the art fraternity of Vadodara and retired teacher of Fine Arts faculty taught his students visualisation and illustration for three decades. His sketches help the police to caught many accused during the time when there was no modern technology available with the department. He runs many movements during his time and very popular in the faculty specially among his students.

“His art to remember a person is amazing and he can draw the sketch of the person instantly. He draw sketches even on tissue paper during a visit to the restaurant about his surroundings and the people. He never use colours and made black and white portraits which is amazing,” said Pandya.

His charming personality always impress the others and students admire him a lot. “His trademark White shirt and blue jeans complete with shawl make him different from others.
