Made pictures of Bapu and Dandi Kooch from grain, pulses and colours

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Rajupura village of Desar taluka is run under the scheme of Government of India with ideal facilities to maintain and continue the education of girls of poor and needy families.

At present, the 75 years of independence (Amrut Mahotsav) is being celebrated to spread awareness in the new generation about the value of freedom. Also to make them know the struggle and supreme sacrifice by the freedom fighters for the freedom of country.

The celebrations began with the 2021 edition of the Dandi Yatra, which began in 1930 with Sabarmati. A pinch of salt on the shores of Dandi in South Gujarat, where Bapu symbolically challenged the British superpower in the freedom struggle.

At that time students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya of Rajupura uniquely joined in celebration of the 75 years of Independence and Dandi Kooch Yatra smriti.

District Primary Education Officer Archana Chaudhary said that the 9th standard students of this institute have enthusiastically created artistic and inspiring works depicting Bapu’s life message and Dandi Yatra from grains, pulses and colours under the guidance of their teachers.

Combining the colors with the grains of cereals and pulses they created beautiful work of Bapu. They also depicted the beginning of Dandi Yatra on March 12, 1930 by Bapu with the volunteers through a painting.

In another work the students draw Bapu along with the bird released from the cage, giving the message of peace, freedom, world peace and non-violence. The paintings were recently displayed at a district level program held at Pratappura village in Desar taluka.

The District Primary Education Officer has heartily applauded the artist students and mentor teachers for this dimension of joining the national celebration through art.
