In view of the terror attack on the Amarnath pilgrims the state is on high alert and the security has been beefed up at railway stations and bus stops where people presence is more. In Vadodara also the Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducts checking at the railway stations while the city police with the help of dog squads check the bus terminal and the parking.
Railway SP Sharad Singhal said that after the terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims on Monday night a alert was issued to the railway police. The police already check the trains towards and coming back from Jammu and now after the attack the police is strictly checking the trains as well as the luggage of the passengers.
The police team check the trains towards and fro from Jammu and also deeply check the luggage of the passengers. The administration kept a strict watch on the activities at the platform and advisory is also issued to the passengers not to touch any suspicious thing.
The RPF conduct checking on the railway stations and inside the incoming trains to the station with the help of dog and bomb squads. The luggage of the suspicious persons moving around is also checked by the police.
The Vadodara city police also conduct checking outside the railway station parking and central bus terminal like populated areas. The suspicious vehicles were also checked by the police. After the Amarnath attack the alert is issued to the railway police and city police.
On the other side the students of Gurukul school at Warasiya ring road paid tribute to the pilgrims died in the terror attack. Vadodara city Congress pray for the people lost their lives in the attack in Siddheshwar Mahadev temple at Rajmahal road in the city. VHP calls for a Dharna programme in the evening while Shivsena is going to give surprise programme in view of the terror attack on the pilgrims.
