Tanker knocked police PCR van stationed to manage traffic constable injured
A PCR van of Bapod police station was rushed to the spot after an accident took place between a car and dumper near Ajwa Chokdi last night. The van was stationed behind the dumped with parking lights and the policemen are managing traffic.
Meanwhile a tanker crashed into the stationed PCR van resulting in injuries to constable sitting inside. He was rushed to the hospital and Bapod police conducted a search based on the vehicle number.
Unarm Head Constable Tersingbhai Mavjibhai gives details about the complaint registered in Bapod police station. Last night driver and LRD Sanjaybhai Jesingbhai was on duty at the PCR van when they received a message from the police control room that a car heading towards Ahmedabad collided with a dumper at Ajwa Chowkdi. They arrived at the spot and first towed the car to the roadside. However the dumper failed to start and it force them to clear the traffic.
The police team stationed their PCR van with parking lights behind the dumper and Tersingbhai was sitting inside to give location to the police control room.
The driver and other constable were managing the traffic. Suddenly a speeding tanker hit the PCR van from behind and injured Tersinghbhai who received injuries on chest. The PCR van was also damaged in the accident.
Tersingbhai, who was injured in the accident was shifted to Sayaji Hospital for immediate treatment where he was found to be in a stable condition. Bapod police based in the tanker registration number starts searching for the driver and further investigating in the case.
