A neonatal emergency handled by the 108 emergency team at Savli in the month of January received loads of applaud as the on duty EMT saved the life of a one month old baby. Such star performers from all districts in the month of January are felicitated for their efforts to save precious lives.

The felicitation ceremony was held at circuit house in Vadodara where the winners share their experience to save precious lives with their coordinated efforts.

Talking about the case of Vadodara the 108 team stationed at Savli received the call from Vadodara about a neonatal emergency where a 1 month old baby had problems in breathing. They reached the spot and found the baby was not responding. The EMT Palak Valand inserted an OPA to maintain the airway patent and started a quick initial assessment.

The baby was then loaded in the ambulance and while en route to the hospital the EMT give a comfortable position to the baby and oxygen was given via BVM. The EMT then contacted emergency physician Dr. Dhruvesh on phone and give life saving drugs to the baby on his advice till they reach the hospital.

Like Vadodara the teams of other districts of Gujarat are felicitated for saving lives in different emergencies. Surendranagar team was adjudged 108 Savior of the month.
